Become an owner of the brewpub where you drink! By becoming a member-owner of Black Star Co-op, you’ll have a vote in co-op affairs and you’ll have benefits at the brewpub.
Co-operatives are businesses owned by the people who use its services or who work at it. You don’t have to be a member-owner to come to the brewpub, but as Steven says, “Why shouldn’t you own the pub you drink at?!”
Our goal is to raise $375,000 by March 2010 through organic growth in membership from 1,200 members to 2,000 as well as a member-owner investment offering. The Co-op is confident this goal will be accomplished with just 150 member-owners investing an average of $2,500 each. However, member-owners may also participate in the offering with a minimum investment of just $500.
